Consciously Creating Your Life Through Writing
Check these out first If you haven’t read the previous articles check them out as they have subconscious mind exercises as well. Thought Journal for Clearing Out Your Subconscious Mind and then Powerful Affirmations to Change Your Life before reading this article.
What did thought journaling and powerful affirmations emphasize?
In these previous articles I talked about clearing out your subconscious through a writing exercise and then immediately after that, doing mirror affirmations. Both are exercises that will help you reprogram you subconscious mind. Well, now I have a few more exercises that are alternatives to the mirror affirmations I talked about in part 2. These are writing exercises if you prefer these instead.
Exercise #3 The Story of Your Life
The first exercise that you can use that is extremely powerful is writing your life story. Where do you want your life to go? That is the basis of this exercise. You are going to write like you are already where you want to go, now.
How to Approach this Exercise?
You can look at it two ways. You can look at it from the perspective that you are here now, and you want your life to go in a certain direction. That is certainly the logical way of writing your life story. However, there is a better way.
Go into the future to look at the past
Imagine that you are looking back on your life as an old man or woman. And you are reliving your life from many years ago. What would you want your life to look like? What did it consist of? Did you travel a lot? Did you work a job 40 hours a week at the same company for many years? What was your love life like? Were you satisfied with what you accomplished, experienced, and the relationships you built?
Removing the Fear
The reason I believe this is a better way to look at this exercise is, it puts into perspective what you really want your life to be like. It really makes you think, what am I doing NOW? Because most people will say they want there lives to be a certain way, but never take action. This allows you to realize that you want to be able to look back on your life, and know that you did everything you wanted to do, without fear.
It removes the fear when you look at the exercise in this way. Because from the perspective of an old man or woman looking back on their own life, the only thing that really matters, is if they did the things they wanted to do. This perspective makes you think about all of the minuscule things that you have in your life now, that are in your way from doing what you want.
So you can use this “looking back on your life” way of viewing this exercise, to figure out what you REALLY want in your life. Then from there, you create the story.
So either way of looking at this exercise works, but obviously I have a preference for the second option.
Act Now how you want to be in the future!
By now you should have noticed that every exercise I have mentioned is acting like you are already where you want to be. Because NOW is the only time you can be what you want to be. If you say that you will do it in the future, you will never get there.
I have to constantly remind myself of that. What do I want to be now? Am I doing the things that I want in the future, NOW? That’s what all of these exercises are doing. Training you to be what you want, now.
You will have to use tons of “I am” statements or any types of statements that make it present tense. “I am currently adventuring around the world, visiting many different cities in many different countries”. Use your imagination. That’s what it is for.
For this exercise I like to stretch my imagination as far as it can go. Because in a sense, you are just pushing the limits of what you can imagine.
In the mirror affirmation exercise I said to be less specific, because you are really trying to get to the point where you can believe what you are saying. You aren’t really imagining. So if you are saying outrageous statements from where you are, then it is going to be tough for your subconscious to accept them.
This exercise is the ultimate “lets imagine exactly where I want to go using my writing as the guide”. Be really specific in this exercise. If you are going somewhere, then mention how it feels, smells, looks….etc. You are really trying to stretch your imagination.
What you imagine is REAL. Remember that. So the more specific you get, the more your subconscious delivers it into your reality.
Exercise #4- I know exercise
This is similar to the mirror affirmations, except you are writing these statements down.
Every statement starts off with “I know”. This is a very powerful exercise because there is nothing stronger than knowing something. Knowing is stronger than believing. Little kids believe in Santa Claus, but none of them actually know if he exists.
I know that I am moving in the right direction
I know that I can do anything
If you want to be more specific….
I know that I am making thousands of Dollars from my blog
Whatever you want!
Write down as many as you would like. I recommend doing it for a short period of time, and you will start remembering what you wrote the previous time, the more you do it.
My last point on all of these exercises is, you can be one of two ways that will allow you to be fully in control of your life.
1) Completely aware of everything where nothing outside of you will influence you. This takes a very high level of consciousness that the majority of people on this planet aren’t at.
2) Or, you can influence yourself with these exercises in the direction you want to go.
Or if you are neither, then there is a very good chance you are letting outside stimuli influence the direction of your life. Not what you want.
You Really will develop yourself through these subconscious mind exercises
There is nothing more to say other than that, if you start incorporating the exercises that I have gone over in the three parts, you are going to see dramatic changes in your life. Dramatic. You better believe it. If that is what you are aiming for, then I can’t think of any other exercises that can train you like these can.
