Osho Book of Secrets
Osho Book of Secrets is a book that really helped me develop my meditation practice and understand how many things work that I was not aware of. I consider it the most in depth book I have ever read about humanity, spirituality, and the connection between the two. In it, Osho explains thoroughly each meditation, and lets the reader know that not every one will be suitable for them. However, he says to read through until you find the meditation that you feel is right for yourself. And you can find about any type of meditation in this book explained thoroughly. Not only will you learn the meditations that are in the book, but you also gain the refreshing perspective of Osho, as he talks about life in general.
You can’t find the information presented in this book anywhere else. It will literally blow your mind with how in depth it goes.
For example, in one part of the book Osho explains that the human body is connected by a chord to the soul. If this chord is cut, then we die. There are actually meditations that interact with this chord and if they are done wrong, the person can die. Not the most positive aspect of meditation, but it shows you how in depth this book is.
Book Review of “The Book of Secrets“?
1) The bible of meditations
Nothing in this book I had really ever heard before. I have listened to new age spiritual talks and other spiritual gurus, but have never came across this information.
2)Every meditation is in depth
If you want the best instruction on how to perform 112 different meditations, then you are going to get at least a couple of long pages for each one. I mean….there are 1300 pages in the whole book!
3) It challenges you more than you have ever been challenged regarding who you are.
The information almost certainly will go against what your preconceived notions are regarding your life. It will shake your foundation, and make you question it. This might turn off people who are very fixed in their beliefs. But if you are open and ready to consider new possibilities, then you will accept this book wholeheartedly. It makes sense, and you will start to question your own awareness of everyday life.
You can always come back to it after you have used a certain meditation for a while and would like to try another. It’s definitely not a one time read.
Sometimes the things that are said in this book shock you, but it’s almost exciting. It answers some questions about the way humans use spiritual energy and how to better utilize it.
Is there anything I don’t like about this book?
I can honestly say that there really wasn’t anything I didn’t like about this book. SOMETIMES, Osho tells stories in it that drag on. They end up having a very meaningful point though.
The only other thing I can say is that some people might not understand it right away if they don’t have general knowledge in the occult or meditation. But if you keep on reading eventually it will click and you will completely understand what Osho is talking about. It’s not a hard read vocabulary wise though at all.
And just to reiterate, I am only recommending this book, because it will bring value to your daily life.
